Friday Favorites – Custom College Needlepoint Designs, Monograms, and Mountains

We were very busy this week in our workshop.   There are some stunning images to share, so I hope you enjoy them!

Needlepoint Flags for Christmas Ornament Tradition

I was working on a project this week and just had to share the idea (with the customers excitement to pass it on, too!).

Every year, the family stitches new needlepoint ornaments and this year and hopefully going forwards she will be stitching needlepoint flags of places that her children visited.

The needlepoint flag ornament designs are 4 inches wide, and about 2.7 inches high.

We had a customer looking for a one of a kind needlepoint belt featuring the Academical Village / Pavilions at the University of Virginia.

With confidence I told him I thought we could make something that will make his friends jealous.  I think we nailed it!

This design is now available as a personalized needlepoint belt.  We can adjust the monogram and graduation year to order.  Or, it is also available as a stitch it yourself needlepoint kit!

Below I took a photo of the whole belt.  The waviness and blurry spots are due to the “panorama effect” trying to move across the belt and shoot the picture in one shot using my phone.  Still a great picture of a great belt!

Hope everybody had a great holiday!

Last week we were treated by some of our customers with pictures of finished projects that really stand out.

We have two needlepoint pillows, one is a dog needlepoint project and the other was a Nantucket Wedding Pillow.

I love the colors and modern touch on the dog and with the nantucket, well the red braided piping looks great.  Nice stitching Ginger and Hillary!!!

Welcome back, this week we’ve got a new type custom of project that we designed and I think looks great!

It is a custom needlepoint cummerbund canvas.  You can see it in the bottom right corner of the picture below.  It measured 15.5 inches wide by 5.5 inches high.  I can’t wait to see pictures when it is done!
