Customer Spotlight – Wedding Ring Bearer Needlepoint Pillows

Celebrating a marriage is undoubtedly not only an exciting time for the two people wedding, but it is a great time for others to celebrate their friends’ and families’ new chapter of life. It’s no secret that nearly every detail of a wedding ceremony can be planned, so sometimes it can be hard to find something special to add to an already perfect day.

Joanna, from Virginia, knew that she could add a little something special to a wedding day when she stitched a beautiful custom needlepoint pillow for the ring bearers to use during the ceremony.

If you haven’t already heard, we’re hosting a custom needlepoint belt giveaway with our long-time friend Carly of “The College Prepster” blog!

Carly Heitlinger is a preppy blogger who grew up in Florida, began blogging while studying at Georgetown, and now lives in New York City where she continues to find inspiration for her style. Her blog is full of great tips on what to wear, what to see, and what to do!

We recently collaborated with Carly on a custom belt showcasing the landmark sights of South Tampa for her father. Together with Carly, we brought her father’s favorite places to life: from the country club where he golfs, to the University of Tampa, to the high school campus that he and Carly both attended, the essence of each building is captured on the belt.

Finally, the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington is captured on a belt!

Long awaited, the University of Kentucky Needlepoint Belt features some of the historical buildings, basketball stadium, and gardens.  It came out great!  (please click the link above for a rundown on the buildings)

This design is available with the Rupp Arena or commonwealth stadium and comes as a fully stitched belt or a DIY needlepoint kit.  Designs can be personalized (monogram and graduation year is included) and even customized upon request.

Vacation Notification and Holiday Cutoff Dates for Orders

Thanks for checking out our blog!

This year our Christmas order deadline for fully stitched needlepoint belts is November 9th. (Hanukkah is Oct. 16th)

For DIY needlepoint kits, the Christmas cutoff is Dec. 11th (Hanukkah is Nov Nov. 27th).

If you are interested in placing an order between Sept 16th and Sept 30th, please read below.  

My wife and family are celebrating the end of her maternity leave (and a happy heathy baby girl!) and taking our family to the beach for two weeks.

Karen (our production manager) will be in the workshop and answering a very limited amount of messages specific to already placed orders. If you are looking to order a stock design and need it soon, please place your order on our website www.needlepaint.com.

Custom orders can also be placed and emailed to us while I’m away.  Karen can help get the designs organized and started on the layout.  She can review your order and let you know if their are any questions or details that are missing.

DIY needlepoint canvases typically take 1-2 weeks to design and make an order.  Needlepoint belts ordered during this period will be ready around Thanksgiving.

A custom needlepoint wallet is a perfect gift for the person who seems to have everything.

Our DIY custom wallet needlepoint canvas is available now in our shop.  And coming soon will be fully stitched custom wallets!  We include a monogram on one side a a picture of your choice on the other.

Some ideas for designs would be: a favorite sport, house, car, or pet.  I even have some being stitched with initials in nautical flags.

The Nutcracker Suite Needlepoint Christmas Stockings

There is still time to needlepoint christmas stockings for this Christmas.  Tracy recently finished a series of stockings that will coordinate for the whole family!

The Nutcracker Suite Needlepoint Stockings feature the main characters from The Nutcracker and the Mouse King story written in 1816 by E.T.A. Hoffmann in which young Marie Stahlbaum’s (also know as Clara in modern versions) favorite Christmas toy, the Nutcracker, comes alive and, after defeating the evil Mouse King in battle, whisks her away to a magical kingdom populated by dolls.  You can read more here.
