We had a fun project last week that the customer has agreed to share with everybody!
This needlepoint belt is a collection of places, events and symbols. It is being made as a graduation gift.
I’m calling it a Life Treasures belt. We started with about 20 ideas, and then they decided to get the grad’s opinion to make sure they like all the elements.
A few rounds back and forth and we had an amazing personalized needlepoint belt canvas! I’m sure this will be worn with pride…

The theme behind this needlepoint design is the old VW beetle going to the beach with surf boards on top. I’m lucky to have had the experience of driving on the beach in one of my friends beach beetles!

Beach Cruiser Needlepoint Belt
We made a new needlepoint design last week, again for a belt. It seems our recent blog on needlepoint belts has really drawn some interest in more custom designed belt needlepoint canvases.
The project was pretty simple, the customer wanted to stitch a monogram belt for her husband. When we spoke, she mentioned that they have two kids and recently moved to Florida. I got the idea to add two palms to represent the kids and sent her the preview, she loves it! The canvas came out really well, see below…
