Friday Favorites – Christmas Needlepoint Ideas – Custom Dogs – and Cute Kids Projects!

Labor day is here, and while it is sad to see summer coming to a close, we’re feeling very blessed and happy to help design more great new needlepoint projects.

Black Lab Needlepoint Belt – Springer Spaniel – Beagle

We’ve done a lot of custom needlepoint belt designs with dogs on them, and realized that our dogs make great stand alone belts.

Labs have so much personality, and so do their owners! Our distinguished black lab needlepoint belt shows the dog at attention and spices up the wardrobe with an azure blue background.

Traditionally used for flushing out game while hunting, the English springer spaniel’s great temperament also make great family dogs. The springer spaniel needlepoint belt is designed with the spaniel at attention, and this version is with a brown markings, but we also have black.

Amazing Dogs in Needlepoint

We love our dogs here, and we love to make dog needlepoint kits for our customers, but every once in a while, we get some images that you have to see to believe.

Here are two amazing works recently finished by Dorothy in New York (she stitched Spud) and Linda in California (who stitched Parker).

Needlepointing a photo of your dog can be a challenge, but if you have the patience, it is worth it!

All About Photo Needlepoint Kits Dogs N Cat

If you’ve been following our blog for a while, you know how much we love our pets!

NeedlePaint probably has the best looking custom needlepoint kits for working needlepoint from photo.

Have a look at our workshop table last Friday (see below) these are some fun projects!

Our kits come with either Waverly wool or DMC floss, hand made and matched to your pet.  Or if you prefer matching your own colors or working in a different fiber, our needlepoint canvases still come with a counted stitch guide and color chart matched to one of the two fiber options.  I suggest using the DMC color palate if you are buying your own fiber, as there are many free color conversion charts available online.

If you would like to see needlepoint dog breeds, we have some favorites on the website.  Or, if you prefer to stitch your own pet, you can needlepoint a photo using our online designer.  You can customize the design size, mesh count, number of colors and fiber type with the click of a button!  There is no fee to try out needlepoint designer so why not give it a try!

Really Cute Dog Needlepoint Kit

We made a new needlepoint kit for a friend, and I just have to share it.

Our friend is a photographer and shared this picture of his dog, and look at how well the dog needlepoint canvas came out!
